Privacy Policy
Effective 18 October 2026
RTech Manufacturing ("RTech", "we", "us") makes custom parts in India for customers in Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access or correct it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
This policy also sets out how we keep your drawings and design files confidential. This is the privacy agreement referred to elsewhere on our website.
1. Information we collect
- Contact details: your name, company, job title, work email, phone number and delivery address.
- Project information: drawings, CAD files, specifications, quantities, materials, finishes, tolerances and deadlines that you send for a quote or order.
- Order and billing details: purchase orders, invoices, payment records, and the shipping and customs details needed to deliver your parts.
- Meeting details: the time you book a call, and anything you tell us in the booking form or during the call.
- Correspondence: emails, messages and notes from calls with your advisor.
We do not ask for sensitive information (such as health or political information), and we do not process card details on this website. Please do not send us these.
2. How we collect it
We collect information directly from you when you fill in our quote form, book a call, email us, speak with your advisor or place an order. We may also receive details about you from a colleague who refers you, or from your company when it places an order.
You can enquire without giving your full name, but we need contact details and drawings to prepare a quote and fulfil an order.
3. Why we use it
- To prepare quotes, give design feedback and answer technical questions.
- To manufacture, inspect, ship and deliver your parts, including customs clearance under our delivered duty paid (DDP) terms.
- To invoice you, keep business records and meet our tax and legal obligations.
- To handle quality issues, returns and remakes.
- To contact you about your quotes and orders. We will only send marketing emails if you agree, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
4. Your drawings and designs
Your designs belong to you. Any drawing, CAD file or specification you send us:
- is used only to quote, make, inspect and deliver your parts;
- is shared only with the people working on your order;
- is never used to make parts for anyone else, or shared with other customers;
- is never published or used in our marketing without your written permission.
Moulds, dies and other tooling you pay for belong to you. We store them for your repeat runs and release them on request. If your company needs an NDA, we will sign yours or provide ours. Where an NDA applies, its terms take priority over this section.
5. Who we share it with
We share only what is needed with:
- our manufacturing team and factory in India;
- freight forwarders, couriers and customs brokers, and the Australian Border Force for import clearance;
- service providers that run parts of our business: Tally (quote forms), Cal.com (call bookings), website analytics providers (Google and Microsoft, only if you accept cookies), our email and file storage providers, and our accountants and payment providers;
- government bodies, regulators or courts when the law requires it.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
6. Sending information overseas
Because our parts are made in India, your contact details and project files are sent to our factory there. Some of our service providers, including Tally, Cal.com, Google and Microsoft, may store data in other countries such as the United States or in the European Union. We take reasonable steps to make sure anyone who receives your information overseas protects it in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
7. How we protect it
We store information in access-controlled systems, limit access to staff who need it for your order, and use encrypted connections for our forms and booking pages. No system is completely secure. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and, where required, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
8. How long we keep it
We keep quote and order information for as long as we need it to serve you, support repeat orders and meet legal obligations. Australian tax law, for example, requires us to keep business records for at least five years. When we no longer need information, we delete or de-identify it. You can ask us to delete your drawings at any time after your order is complete, unless we must keep them for legal reasons.
9. Cookies and third-party tools
When you first visit our website, we ask whether you accept cookies. We only use analytics cookies if you click "Accept all". If you choose "Essential only", we use only the cookies and browser storage the site needs to work, including remembering your choice. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
If you accept cookies, we use these tools to understand how people use our website so we can improve it:
- Google Tag Manager (Google): loads and manages the other tools on this list. It does not set cookies of its own.
- Google Analytics (Google): counts visits and shows which pages people view, how they arrived and roughly where they are. It uses cookies to tell new visitors from returning ones.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft): records how visitors move, click and scroll on our pages, including heatmaps and session replays, so we can find parts of the site that are hard to use. Clarity hides text you type into forms. It uses cookies to link page views within a visit.
We use this information only in summary form to improve our website. We do not use it to identify you, and we do not use it for advertising. If you do not accept cookies, Google tools run in a limited mode without cookies, and Microsoft Clarity does not load at all.
When you open our quote form or booking calendar, Tally or Cal.com load inside the page and may set cookies needed for those tools to work. Our website also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your browser's IP address. Each provider's own privacy policy explains how it handles this data: Google, Microsoft, Tally and Cal.com.
10. Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Email us and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why.
11. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please email us with the details. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
